A notable requirement is the mandatory appointment of a Compliance Officer dedicated to AML purposes. This role mirrors the responsibilities of the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) seen within European Union standards. However, there are key differences in Curaçao's approach—most notably, the Compliance Officer can be outsourced and is not required to reside in Curaçao, offering flexibility to gaming companies.
